Mourvèdre wines, often known for their bold and robust character, are red wines made from the Mourvèdre grape variety. This grape is commonly used in blends, especially in the Rhône region of France and Spain. Mourvèdre wines are characterized by their deep color, high tannins, and rich, dark fruit flavors, often accompanied by notes of spice, earth, and a hint of gaminess. They can age well and develop complexity over time, making them a favorite among wine enthusiasts who appreciate full-bodied, complex red wines.
