Auxerrois Blanc wines are esteemed for their distinctive character and expressive flavors, offering a captivating glimpse into the terroir of the Alsace region in France. Made predominantly from the Auxerrois Blanc grape variety, which is closely related to Pinot Blanc, these wines showcase a delightful combination of floral aromatics, stone fruit flavors, and a crisp, refreshing acidity. Auxerrois Blanc grapes thrive in Alsace's cool climate and diverse soil types, ranging from granite and limestone to clay and sand, imparting a unique minerality and complexity to the wines.
In the glass, Auxerrois Blanc wines often exhibit a pale straw color and a bouquet redolent of white flowers, citrus blossoms, and hints of orchard fruits such as pear and apple.
