The youthful robe hints at a wine that will not feel its age. The aromas immediately indicate the character of a remarkable, complete and mature region. The years of ageing have left their mark; this is an open, broad and profound wine. This Riesling is dashing, musky, smoky with the hints of fresh almond and fresh nuts, so typical to it which combine with the kind of patina and butteryness that would have you believe it had been aged in wooden casks. Nothing could be further from the truth. This is just a clear sign that the wine is perfect and that the grapes were harvested when fully ripe. The broad, flavoursome and intensely saline taste is full bodied and lively, its energetic acidity is clear without any unwanted sweetness. This wine is powerful with a lot of character and volume, the final note is long and mouth-watering, it oozes serenity. The expression of a whole region.

Riesling is a white wine grape variety that is grown in many regions around the world, but it is particularly associated with Germany and Alsace, France. Riesling wines are known for their high acidity, minerality and a wide range of styles. They can range from dry and crisp with green apple, citrus, and mineral notes to sweet and honeyed with flavors of apricot, peach, and nectarine. The sweetness level in Riesling depends on the ripeness of the grapes, and winemakers can choose to make dry, off-dry, or sweet styles.
Riesling wines are considered to be very versatile, they pair well with a wide range of foods, particularly seafood, sushi, and spicy Asian cuisine, as well as a wide range of cheeses.
Riesling wines are known for their aging potential, and many high-quality German Rieslings can be aged for many years and still retain their complexity, balance, and freshness. It's also worth mentioning that the grape is known for its ability to express the terroir, meaning that Riesling wines from different regions can taste quite different from one another, even from one side of a mountain to the other.
