Clos Figueras Poblets del Montsant Tinto 2020
$38.31 Original price was: $38.31.$34.48Current price is: $34.48.
Visually a bright intense red color with violet tones. Red fruits on the nose evolve to a more spicy, balsamic, toasty character and great freshness. Full and rich in the mouth showing hints of oak and a delightful spiciness. The tannins are present but not overbearing. A delightful, elegant Montsant with a fresh and persistent finish.

Wine industry legend, Christopher Cannan purchased the Priorat estate, Clos Figueras in 1997 on the advice of Rene Barbier of Clos Mogador. Situated in Gratallops, considered to be the best wine terroirs in the Priorat DOQa with its combination of unique llcorella soils, climate and elevation giving rise to wines of incredible concentration and balance. The vines at Clos Figueras are close-planted and include 60-80 year old Garnacha and Cariñena vines along with newer plantings of Syrah, Touriga Nacional and Mourvedre. French winemaker Alain Graillot from Crozes-Hermitage has been consulting at the winery since 2009 and in a short period of time the wines of Clos Figueras have become one of the region shining stars.
Shiraz Wine

Shiraz, also known as Syrah, is a red wine grape variety that is grown in many regions around the world. The grape is known for producing wines with rich, full-bodied, and intense flavors. The wine typically has flavors of dark fruit, such as blackberry and plum, as well as notes of pepper, licorice, and smoke. In warm climates, Shiraz wines can also have a jammy character with high alcohol content.
The wine style can vary depending on where the grape is grown, for example, in Australia, Shiraz wines are typically full-bodied and high in alcohol, with ripe fruit flavors and a relatively high level of oak influence. In the Northern Rhône region of France, the wines tend to be more elegant, with a focus on the grape's natural pepper and meaty notes, and less oak influence. Shiraz pairs well with a variety of hearty and flavorful dishes, especially rich meats such as beef, lamb, and game.
