Etienne Guigal formed his own estate in 1946, and was joined by his son Marcel in 1961. They purchased the Château d'Ampuis in 1995, today fully restored, it is the headquarters of the estate and home to the Guigal cooperage. Marcel's son, Phillipe is the winemaker and Guigal produce a range of stunning wines from across the terroirs of the Rhône. The jewels in the crown of the estate's production are the three stellar lieux-dit Côte Rôtie's - La Mouline, La Landonne and La Turque.

Viognier is a white wine known for its aromatic and lush characteristics. It offers floral notes like honeysuckle and apricot, with a silky texture and moderate acidity. Viognier pairs well with spicy dishes and complements seafood and chicken. Originating from the Rhône Valley, it's also grown in various wine regions. Viognier is typically enjoyed for its young and aromatic profile but can age gracefully.
