In 1904 a co-operative winery called Ai Vino Delle Langhe was founded, and a young man who worked there was one Alfred Prunotto. Prunotto took over the estate in 1922, giving it his own name and today it is run under the umbrella of the famous Marchesi Antinori family. Located in Alba the estate tends around 50 hectares of vineyards throughout the Langhe and Monferrato and produces a range of fine wines from the heady Moscato d'Alba to delicious Barbera, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo. A the top end lie a range of single cru wines from Barolo, Barbaresco and the DOC's of Nebbiolo d'Alba, Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba and Barbera d'Asti. Classic Piedmont wines produced with style by the Antinori family.

Dolcetto wines, originating from Italy's Piedmont region, are esteemed for their fruit-forward character, supple texture, and versatility. With prominent notes of blackberry, cherry, and plum, these wines boast a vibrant fruitiness that captivates the palate. Despite their name suggesting sweetness, Dolcetto wines are typically dry, offering a balanced profile with moderate tannins and refreshing acidity. This combination of flavors and structure makes Dolcetto an accessible and easy-drinking choice for wine enthusiasts seeking a wine that pairs effortlessly with a variety of dishes.
Renowned for their food-friendly nature, Dolcetto wines shine when paired with a range of cuisines, from Italian classics like pasta and pizza to grilled meats and spicy fare. The wine's fruit-forward character complements the flavors of hearty dishes, while its refreshing acidity cleanses the palate between bites. Dolcetto's supple texture and approachable style make it a versatile companion for everyday dining, whether enjoyed casually with friends or as part of a special meal. Whether sipped on its own or paired with a delicious dish, Dolcetto offers a delightful drinking experience that embodies the spirit of Piedmont's winemaking tradition.
