Zinfandel wines

Zinfandel is a red wine grape known for producing bold and flavorful wines, often with jammy fruit flavors like blackberry and cherry. It's associated with California, especially in regions like Sonoma and Napa Valley. Zinfandel wines typically have higher alcohol content, moderate to high tannins, and can range from light and fruity to rich and complex. Old vine Zinfandel, from decades-old vines, is particularly prized for its depth and complexity. It pairs well with grilled meats, barbecue, and spicy dishes. The grape is genetically identical to Italy's Primitivo and has its origins in the Croatian grape Crljenak Kaštelanski.
